Ara Pacis Augustae/Emperor's busts/the Tellus Panel/side detail/back and inside/steps outside (for Miles)/my hand (oh I am in the blog!) in part of the fountain outside
The Ara Pacis of Augustus is housed in a quite modern-looking structure designed by Richard Meier (with kind of a cool "fountain" outside lining its steps). I don't think that the Romans (or critics of architecture) like it very much; I don't know much of it but I was always one for juxtaposition.
Random question: I was on my wireless on my iPhone last night and I noticed that it crops off a left piece of the horizontal photos. Does it do that on normal computer screens? It doesn't on mine but you never know with Blogger...
ETA: I guess if you click on the photo you can see the entire shot...

Oh, it did crop some photos on its own. Odd.
With the mobile blog reader, there is no cropping of pic. With the regular blog website address, I see cropping of pics on their sides.
